Music for 4 hands!
on: September 13, 2010, 06:47:48 PM
Hi, I would like to play a piano piece for 4 hands with my piano teacher!
I am thinking about Rachmaninoff's Opus 11 No.1 "Barcarolle"!
Do you have any better ideas?
Thx

How about something from Stravinsky's petrouchka for 4 hands?

Stravinsky did a version of Rite of Spring.  A good way to study it.  I played through it with someone last year who was pale all the way through - afterwards she said "I just can't stand modern music".  Stravinsky!?

The Mother Goose Suite is a good introduction to the four hand repertoire. This is a good recording: https://www.cdbaby.com/cd/olgaigor
