Believe it or not, there's are things you don't know (including, apparently, that there are mental illnesses that would be manifest to a layperson).
So you claim to be able to diagnose mental illness through the internet via discussions you have with someone on a piano forum..... now that sounds odd to me, maybe because im crazy?

Only on Pianostreets could a simple question about a Midi connection result in posts about slave labour, chinese grandparents, frozen peas, mental illness and Jesus.

This is why I love this place so much.

Do carry on gentleman. This is most amusing.

HAHAHAHA! I feel like I'm getting a screaming deal.  I ask a simple question, and am subsequently entertained for hours on end.

This sometimes happens when you get two highly intelligent members, one who is an immovable object and the other an irresistable force.

The Perfect Storm is usually the result.

You got a simple answer to your simple question, too—before you got some misinformation and then righteous indignation when it was debunked.

Wow, lucky me!  I got to solve your problem and contribute to those cheap laughs.  I kind of wish I had answered your question when you asked it in that other forum where things are ... different.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a gag.  More a response to god bothering.
