This orchesttral version of the piece for two pianos was, as it is well known, written by Lutoslawski himself. I produced it all allone in summer 2009 with the samples of the Vienna Symphonic Library.
It was quite a lot of work as it was fun to programm the soloist aswell as the complete orchestra.
Since this popular piece is in no version part of your collection jet, this recording might perhaps fill this gap.
have fun with it.

Wow.  I performed this a couple of times, but had no idea there was an orchestral version.  It really works.  There were only a few variations where the orchestra was too subdued and you didn't hear the interplay like you do between two pianos.  But very exciting and worth the effort!  Thanks.  God, I would love to play this with orchestra!  Like Liszt-Gershwin.  ;D

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
