How long to get a diploma in piano

Hi there , i was wondering how long would it take to get a diploma from grade 8

Depends on which system you're talking about. For the AMEB, I think you gain a Diploma of Piano when you pass your Licentiate exam.
Not sure what you get when you pass the Associate though.

I first attempted the diploma 6 months after my grade 8 and ended up failing narrowly, so my guess is that it can be done in 6 months if one is motivated enough (I was VERY unmotivated in my last semester of high school)... but probably 1-2 years is safer and less stressful.
