Hi,
Advice on buying a piano for a pianist playing advanced pieces:
Boston GP-163 with warm, rich tone; firm action - from 2002 - $17K
Masn & Hamlin from 1906 - nice bass; treble needs voicing - $22K
Boston PE brand new 5'11 - $25K - lovely tone; nice touch
rebuilt Steinway L 1926 $34K
appreciate any feedback re prices and pianos
thanks!

Personally I'd go for the M&H every time unless someone points you to some serious fault with it.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.

A well-rebuilt old Steinway won't let you down.

I'm with Mr. Black. Take the Bostons out of the equation and split hairs with the other 2.
You can get a nice professionally rebuilt M and H model A for 22K.
The L is in the ballpark, yet I've seen really good rebuilts for a little more and 5k-7k less.
I'd be happy to tell you where  (Northeast USA) in a message.
