hm ... seems pretty quiet about this topic  :-X 8)

Okay, once when I was a pitcher for softball --and, btw, the ball is not soft and it was fast pitch-- our team was warming up and my pitching coach was warming me up in the same area, and the head coach walked over and started talking to my pitching coach.  Of course, it made me very nervous because I was sometimes pretty wild at pitching and didn't want to hit my head coach, so I kindly warned him that he might like to choose a different spot to be.  He shrugged me off and went about talking with my pitching coach, not really paying attention.  What do you know happened?  Yep, I nailed him.  Not on purpose, of course, but right where it counts.  Not my fault!  Well, okay, the team went into a different activity at that point while my coach perhaps gained composure.

Real pain?  Perhaps.  More pain than the times I hit batters in various other places?  Perhaps.

Right into the balls really hurts like hell. So no, it's not acting.
Anyway, I think better avoid kicking exercises like this, except for self defense, of course. In self defense it's very important to hit the right point.

I think that testicles are one of the top arguments against Intelligent Design (and if you do not see why, you're a woman).
Unless of course the Designer was a women seriously pissed off by (a) man (hmm, Hera?).

Saying that getting kicked inna fork hurts is like saying that solid nitrogen is chilly.

Intriguing; if I read the poll results correctly, about 34% of this Forum is female...

There have been some pretty silly threads started on this forum at various times, but this one has surely to be one of the daftest, even allowing for some of those wearisome "what is the hardest...?" threads.

Perhaps then a "what is the hardest you have ever been kicked in the bollox" thread, might be more appropriate.

It would be difficult to imagine that his Royal Hintonness has not been in receipt of a kick in the balls throughout his many years on this Earth.

Perhaps he is just too diginified and does not move in such circles where this might occur.

I am Fiordiligi at the moment and will need to be her for several hours.

Thanks for not using a speedgun.  I think that in men's baseball, 90 is pretty fast, though I don't think that's the record.  I got confused, because when I used to pitch, I was pitching around the top speed for softball at the time ... which isn't 90  :-[.

I really could not say, since I have no idea to whom you are referring and I have in any case no personal connection with or aspirations to associations with monarchical entities.

Perhaps he is just too diginified and does not move in such circles where this might occur.
I have certainly never been in any kind of circle in which such activity might occur - and why on the Earth that you mention would I?

You really ought to learn to use the quotation facility where it helps readers to understand to what you are referring; who is allegedly ready in what queue organised and supervised by whom to rectify what and for what reasons/s?

Again, like Thal, you appear to have fallen victim to the lack of comprehensive quotation facility, since your post here omits to identify not only who that said "somebody" might be but for what "he" would be first in line - and, in any case, what's to say that this person might not miss?!

I think it happens less often to women.  I don't really remember ever seeing anything like that happen to a girl.

Women also seem to have a higher pain tolerance/threshold.  So it could be the same hit but the guy would respond more.

Who's "we"? The topic begins with the pronoun "you" and, although it appears to substitute for the impersonal pronoun "one", it does not relate to anyone in particular (as surely mistermoe himself recognises), so the extent to which we have returned to the topic is at best debatable.

I am not remotely worried - why on earth would I be? - but, in response to certain suggestions here, would it not in any case be a somewhat difficult feat for anyone to accomplish in cyberspace?

The undeclared but intended word "nuts" is arguably the most appropriate one in the thread topic, since it does at least describe what passes for its subject matter...

What anyone may choose to imagine is, of course, up to him/her, but I have to admit that I would have trouble in sharing your view that this thread was leading up - or even down - to anything, frankly!

As I mentioned, "nuts" - and no one's even mentioned Tchaikovsky yet...

Thanks Alistair for the most posts on this thread, that you claim is nuts.
If statistics are your thing (and you've already referred to individual post counts here), then you will have noted that you were out in front with 8 at the point where I'd posted but 6 and you're not far behind now; in any case, there's no obvious harm to be done by trying to turn a nutty thread into one that is possessed of at least something approaching common sense.

Anyway, a music critic anxious to show off his familiarity with Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio in its uncensored form once condemned a pianist for his unwise decision to perform its shortened version by writing of Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio; with a little more imagination (not that many music critics are especailly well-endowed with imagination), he could have written of him as having been "nicked in the cuts". Now, owzat for turning the topic on its head as well as managing to get Tchaikovsky in at last?...

That said, Thal, the one with the most posts in this thread ought really to be you, since your frequent references to "bollox" must surely be proof of your supreme authority on that part of the topic.
