Mozart Variations
on: November 08, 2010, 08:17:46 PM
I'm gradually discovering that there are about ten thousands sets of variations that I never knew existed! Many of them are less often played and more interesting than many of his sonatas, IMHO. What do you think? Does anyone have any favorites? I think I might like to choose one to work on after my exam is over...
It all happens on Discworld, where greed and ignorance influence human behavior... and perfectly ordinary people occasionally act like raving idiots.

A world, in short, totally unlike our own.

I totally agree, some of Mozart's piano variations are really beautiful!

I like K.500 and K.573.
And you?

But I can't listen to them too much - then they get boring...

Take  a look at the Variations of Haydn, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, and Mendelssohn.
