Two "cinematic" improvisations!! ^^
on: November 22, 2010, 04:26:58 PM
Hi!!

I love movie music, OST's!!  ;D

Here in my improvisations, I only sit down and leave my mind completely blank. Then as I play, I begin to imagine and try to transmit with the piano what I "see".

Sometimes it's matter of inspiration.  :P

Do you all improvisers do the same or you have another method to improvise??  :)

By the way, I am just a student in the conservatory and they never taught me how to improvise(quite shitty yehhh -.-"  :-X)

I would really like to become a composer!!  ;D

Any criticism is accepted!!

I will be posting also another 2 additional improv's later.

;)

Let me know what you think= )

The first Improv is attached same as Improvisation#4

This is the #5

I like it a lot.
The first one really sounds kind of like movie music, but maybe I was affected by what you wrote in the post. Well either way, they were both great.

Concerning your question, I either sit down with just "okay, let's improvise" and play. Other times I choose a theme, or topic and it usually turns out as something completely different, but oh well...

I don't know. It's definitely smooth, obviously, and you know what you're doing.

It's just, all of these improvisations, everywhere (here and youtube, etc) are ALL the exact same.  They are all slow, with the same patterns, same rhythms, movements, sound, emotion, etc.

I just want one improv that isn't the same.

Y'all are sayin, "upload one yourself."  And I'll try to. But, I don't have a mic, or a camera..so I'm stuck both ways.

All of these improvs are the same.

I don't really understand what you mean crawf1ac. Do you mean all improvisations on this forum or just by keyb0ardfweak?
If you mean on this forum, I think you should listen to more because your statement certainly can't hold.
If you meant keyb0ardfweak's improvisations, then I'd just say that's his style. Maybe he will comment on this, and maybe even surprise with some fresh improvisation.

And lastly don't feel pressed into posting your improvisations, your opinion's worth is not determined by the number of improvisations you have recorded and posted here (At least that's what I think, I can't really speak for the rest, obviously.).
