Say a Little Prayer - Burt Bacharach
on: December 07, 2010, 06:22:56 PM
Figure this is a bit of an unorthodox way to introduce myself but hey!
My name is Aleks and I'm a classically train pianist, studying jazz and popular music at the Birmingham Junior Conservatoire. I work part time at a piano bar in Birmingham, UK, playing popular music and jazz standards (throwing the odd Brahms Intermezzo in every now and then) so I guess you could call me a semi-pro pianist? Anyway, I try to branch out a bit, albeit that i am fundamentally a classical pianist
I thought I would introduce myself on something a little different from what I can see in the forums...
So in other words, it's my own arrangement of a classic Burt Bacharach tune, with a slight classical touch added (excuse the sloppy improvisation).
Opinions?
