Beethoven piano sonata no 12 1st movement

How does one play the trills (with which fingering??) at bar 23 and 25??

I'd have thought 4545434 would do it, with 12 on the notes underneath.

No need to have more repetitions than this, and perhaps you could take your time over it without having to be metronomically exact. Practise it slowly so that you stay relaxed and your hand doesn't tense up.

ahh thanks, would it be okay to put the pedal down and play the chord and let go of the bottom notes and continue the trill? Because my hands arent really big enough to play the bottom notes to the full value

I would avoid anything but the very lightest use of pedal here - you would be in danger of creating a blur.

If it's a problem with hand size I'd be more inclined to actually omit the trills for now and practice shaping the phrase without them. Once you have done that maybe the trills will fit into place more naturally.
