Hallo,

Has anyone got a piano two hands arrangement of the overture of this famous Rossini work?

Cheers ;)

There are a few transcriptions on this work, but I don't know many contain the overture. I have one pdf labelled as the overture, but that is for 4 hands.

The easiest thing for me to do is simply to post the lot so you can have a look.

The Thalberg is a stupendous work which I used to attempt to play.

Check out Earl Wild's recording.

Thanks to the people who scanned all this.

Thanks for posting those, Thal. The Thalberg is fantastic! Bloody hard, though. Some of the passages in sixths look really finger-busting. When I get round to replacing my printer I'll run off a copy and have a go....

Good luck old mate. I got through the first 10 pages, but then gave up.

Cannot do the left hand 4/5 trills on pages 70 and 71. Perhaps there is a way of "cheating" this and I was doing it wrong.

You must try harder, Thal! Practising it on the piano rather than the banjo makes it quite abit easier, actually (and I hope that you find this tip helpful)...

On another tack, please note that
