Check out this piano software I wrote

I wanted to relearn the piano so I wrote some software to help me out. The idea comes from the "future rock band" video that came out a few months back.

If you're familiar with Synthesia, it's kind of like that, but with a very different user interface, it's much more configurable, and has some extra features.

Here's me playing Bach's Minuet in G: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWQj61p6D5s

Software's at https://www.pianofromabove.com

Thoughts?

Looks cool!
Compliments from a fellow software engineer...

For me I can read notes well enough, so wouldn't need it I guess.

What I would still like is plain old notes that scroll and the software automatically scrolling provided sound input from the (analog) piano. So that I don't need to flip pages :)

For that to work I guess the pianist will have to play a correct note every once in a while :)
studying:

Beethoven sonata no. 1 op. 2
Bach Prelude and Fugue in g-major, WTCII
Schumann fantasie stucke op.12 (no. 1,2)

Also reminds me of the guitar hero games...

That would be a nice improvement for the software, count the number of correct notes played and give the pianist a score :)

Is your software already communicating with midi devices?
