Even though I'm tied up in bed, more or less,  until February, I still feel that twinge of excitement.  I LOVE Christmas!  Some Jehovah's witnesses (yes, even in Italy) came by yesterday and tried to dampen my enthusiasm, but I just laughed and wished them Merry Christmas (almost  curse for them) as they left!
Merry Christmas Thal!!!!  Even uncle Scrooge is part of the scene!

Some men would pay good money for that.

Door to door proselytizing in Rome? Now I've heard everything. I don't think they would have lasted very long downtown. Someone would have dumped a pail of water on them from the second floor..

Will the shops still be open Christmas Day?

Thal would so say that. Hehe. I cannot wait till this year ends it has been the worst one of my life. (It's not hard to pick one out of twelve.) I am surprised I lived through it without becoming a psyco.

First of all, thank you Littletune for that picture of your dog dressed up for Christmas and for your encouraging, insightful comments to Dapianokid. I haven't seen such originality or wisdom out most adults.

You were on solid psychological ground with your comments. In general happy well adjusted adults had miserable childhoods and vice versa. There are of course exceptions. Some people never learn from anything..
