New player, need advice on book to use for learning
on: December 23, 2010, 01:30:20 PM
Hi.

I have recently bought a digital piano, and have been fooling around with it not really knowing what fingerings are good or not. I figure that since I can't afford a teacher, then a book would be the best option.

I want to be able to play classical music primarily, but also a bit of everything else. But I guess that a classical technique makes it possible to play almost anything.

I am not a beginner to music, and I can read notation. So I mostly want a book that focuses on technique, scales and fingering.
What books would you recommend for me? DVD suggestions are welcome too.

Thanks in advance!
