Pianino made by Ignace Pleyel - Year 1840. (Chopin Model.!)
on: January 15, 2011, 05:07:18 PM
An Fantastic find by us all here at Palace Pianos for the start of this New Year.!
Pianino made by Ignace Pleyel serial number 8292 year 1840.
This is the exact same model as the Chopin Pianino Pleyel (no.6668) in Valldemosa Mallorca. Inside and outside, we have never come across one of these models till now. From the grain of the wood to the hinges and locks, there is absolutely no difference between the two other then of course the name plank on the front of the Pianino Pleyel in Mallorca showing it was the piano sent to Mallorca for Chopin.
I attached a photo to compare the two for your own eyes :
Case of 8292 is made of fine pieces of Mahogany Ronceux which to me has a flamed type of design to the case.
6 Octaves and 4 notes C to F
I recommend you to see all pics at our site and tell me what you think :
