Audition requirements
on: August 03, 2004, 08:09:22 AM
Hi guys! I recently applied for a part-time piano teaching job near my workplace, as I am interested to learn and gain more experience in teaching. It's my first time giving an audition and interview, and I am scared silly!!
Experience isn't neccessary, as they will teach you the skills needed to be a proficient teacher. Has anyone been interviewed for a teaching job, and what kinds of questions do they usually ask??  I have a grade 8 ABRSM and working on my teaching diploma.  :o

Well, that already sounds impressive.  Just smile, make lots of eye contact, do firm handshakes, write cover letters, you know...the usual stuff employers are impressed by.
