Hey man!Where do you live?
but really need a few more years in an institution.
North Wales.
You don't need to study in the best conservatories in the world in order to have top caliber music education. All you need is a teacher that you can work with. It also means you don't have to pay top money for a top institution, in order to get excellent education.
You don't need to be in a brand name institution to be surrounded by good musicians.
I think someone have trouble with being realistic. You can't really say on one hand that you want to go to the best conservatories in the world, and on the other hand, not being able to afford them.Which do you see as the best in the world? If you say Jilliard, Curtis, and RCM, you are very wrong. Germany have many very fine ones, which are very much cheaper. You have to learn german, but that's it. The Netherlands as well. Don't only look into the obvious ones.
Always a subjective list, but here are, in my mind, some of the best;Moscow ConservatoryParis Conservatoire (Jacques Rouvier)Hannover Hochschule für Musik (Arie Vardi)Universität der Künste Berlin (Jacques Rouvier)Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (Bashkirov)Julliard School (Robert McDonald)Colburn Conservatory (John Perry)Curtis Institute (Gary Graffman)International Piano Academy Lake ComoI'm very sure they all offer scholarships! Good luck!
Yes, you need.
You may want, salivate, lust, or crave such, but you do not need it.

You forgot one!
Which one? Oh yeah...UofT! How can I forget that...best vending machine ever...
*shudders*Really? Not from a sample I got of the festival I went to in Netherlands! Boring, pedantic, and academic in some of the worst sense of the words. And I hate how every accompaniment in chamber music has to be very soft. It's just not music making.
Well, I'm going to have a lesson with a teacher from Hague Academy. I tell you if he's any good
No, it's for Naum Grubert. But I'll tell you anyway!
It's true that most teachers in the Hague lives in Amsterdam. However, The Hague is The Royal conservatory in the Netherlands. I'm just about to start my first year there, so I can't be certain, but it seems normal that The Royal Conservatory should have more income and better departments in total... But as I said, I don't know.Though, I wouldn't say that it's the best in the world...
