Can anybody name this?
on: December 29, 2002, 01:18:16 AM
Hi all!

I heard this song a lot of times.. I'm a self-studying piano player...

Now I found a midi-song of the piece, but still don't know the correct name of it and I think the midi-piece is not as good as it could be..

can anybody please name this song?

I've put it on my website:
https://members.lycos.nl/charani1973/bigmidi.mid

Thanks in advance!

With regards,

Pascal van de Wijdeven

Hi,

It's a piece called "Heart and Soul" (at least that's the name I know it by ...) I agree with you about the recording; it's a strange thing to have underwater effects added in.

The piece is called Heart and Soul and its from the Paramount Short Subject A SONG IS BORN:-) I just copied that from the sheet music. I have it if you want, and if you want to listen to how it SHOULD REALLY sound, let me know, i made a midi of it :P

Hi!  I've heard your midi and I agree with the others.  The song is called "Heart and Soul".  If you have seen the movie "Big" starring Tom Hanks, then you'll hear this music in that movie.

Actually, it can be played in duets or solo if you wish.  I play this music in solo and I have added some improvisations.  If you're interested, I can teach you some of my styles in playing this song.

Tnx all of you! It was indeed the song I was looking for. As I'm only a self teaching student (I played the saxophone for years, but keyboard/piano only as a little hobby) I only take the simple songs. I'm not good enough to use complicated arrangements.  :-[

Maybe someone has tips for reading the Left-hand key.. As I said, I learned playing the saxophone and I can read the G-Key very good, but the F-key is very confusing for me, I have to search every note...   :(

Anyway... tnx for your help all!!

Regards,

Pascal
