Romantic Improv
on: February 25, 2011, 05:38:14 PM
He people,

Here's another improvisation.
My own vision: the main theme is sometimes a bit monotonous and not all the arpeggios are well executed. But in return for that I kinda like the second part and how it goes into C major.

Cheers,

Sam

sam, I enjoyed this one a lot. Some of the thematic material sounds very early 1800's in style, influenced by Beethoven perhaps? Good job. You have a very strong sense for traditional harmony.

Thanks ;).
And yeah, it is indeed kind of influenced by Beethoven.
Actually I stole some pieces from the Moonlight Sonata 3rd mvmt (let's see if you can guess which ones..). But I never learnt the whole movement so then it's not really stealing anymore :).

Woah, cool.  I like this very much.  Very energetic!  As a side note, sometimes there's this strange tone that comes out ... almost as though a clarinet is playing along.  I heard it twice, early on, but not now again.

hmmm ... If everybody wasn't so nice I would get jealous, because I feel like I don't know how to do any of this!  But, I'm going to experiment, which I think is the point for me right now!  Listening to everybody's improvs lately is *so* good for me!  Thank you :).
