Polishing up Bach Fugue in a week.
on: March 02, 2011, 07:35:35 PM
Hello. :)

I have certification for my music school in a week. I started the fugue pretty late, about two weeks ago. I pretty much have everything down at a very slow pace, but I would like to have it closer to performanc level by next week.
I don't have very much time to practice, but I am a pretty fast learner.

Any advice?
Currently:
Chopin Grand Valse Brilliante
Mozart Piano Sonata K 332
Scriabin Preludes Op 11 no.5,6,7
Bach Prelude and Fugue in G minor

I'd say spending less time writing on forums and more time practicing   :)

However, see how fast you can play the piece while keeping it at a steady tempo. Say you can do it 30 bpm, over the next 7 days, try and increase it slightly until you get to the required tempo (eg. Tomorrow 35 bpm, next day 40bpm... etc)

Lol, I don't spend a lot of time on the forum.
I just came on here and posted, and went back to doing homework, then checked back to see if I got any replies.

But thanks for the advice, what If I don't have a metronome though. Do I just guestimate the tempo?
