Millionaire
on: August 11, 2004, 03:38:11 AM
Hello everyone. I'm making my own Musical Who Wants to Be Millionaire board for my students to play and am after some questions (and answers .... in case I don't know them ). If you'd like to help just state
1. Category, eg $100 question, $500 000 question etc
2. The question
3. The answer
The questions can be anyting as long as it's about music, theory, history, composers, compositions.
Thanks heaps!!!

Oh-That sounds like fun! I've written a few questions below but I'm not sure how much they should be worth, so I didn't specify.
Which of the following does not signify silence in a piece of music?
A: Quarter rest
B: Tacet
C: Whole rest
D: Shoulder rest
How many sharps are in the key of A major?
A: 1
B: 0
C: 3
D: 2
Which composer was not born in Germany?
A: Beethoven
B: Berlioz
C: Brahms
D: Bach
What is the term for switching to a different key without altering the key signature within a piece of music? (the wording is a bit lumpy)
A: Transposition
B: Intonation
C: Modulation
D: Transportation
How many keys do most standard pianos have?
A: 64
B: 88
C: 126
D: 98
Who is not considered a baroque composer?
A: Telemann
B: Vivaldi
C: Volkmann
D: Monteverdi
That's all I can think of for now-Some of them might be a bit 'grey,' but I think they're usable. Have fun with the games!

Support bacteria. They're the only type of culture some people have.

What a great idea. I'm working on a Wheel of Fortune game for teaching Italian terms in music.
