Do the appoggiaturas in M. 5, 6, etc, come on the beat or before the beat?

This piece is of the Classical period, so the execution should be on the beat.

The appoggiaturas that occurs in bar 6 is played right before the first beat of bar 6 and right at the end of the last beat of bar 5. It thus occurs BEFORE the 1st beat of bar 6, but it is fast, our attention is focusing on the dotted crotchet which comes exactly on the 1st beat of the bar. To say to play the appoggiaturas on the 1st beat of the bar is silly, no one plays ornaments like this (you will extend the length of the bar and your playing will sound like a bump has occurred), ornaments lead to a strong beat they don't usually start on them.
