composition competitions?
on: January 03, 2003, 05:06:34 AM
I'm new to the forum. I am a piano teacher but also compose my own pieces. I mainly do this as a hobby because I immensly enjoy it and no one ever hears my music. However, I have thought a lot about letting others hear my compositions. I was wondering if there were any competitions I could enter for classical piano compositions? Most that I see have an age limit. I am 22. Any help would be great! Thanks so much

I can't help you if you're only looking for competitions offline, but I do know of an online competition at
www.music-scores.com/music-scores/competition.html
. I don't know whether it would be what you're looking for or not but I just thought I would mention it in response to your question. There is also a discussion board with a section where compositions may be posted. See
