Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street
The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more >>

composition competitions?
on: January 03, 2003, 05:06:34 AM
I'm new to the forum. I am a piano teacher but also compose my own pieces. I mainly do this as a hobby because I immensly enjoy it and no one ever hears my music. However, I have thought a lot about letting others hear my compositions. I was wondering if there were any competitions I could enter for classical piano compositions? Most that I see have an age limit. I am 22.  Any help would be great! Thanks so much  ;D

I can't help you if you're only looking for competitions offline, but I do know of an online competition at www.music-scores.com/music-scores/competition.html.  I don't know whether it would be what you're looking for or not but I just thought I would mention it in response to your question.  There is also a discussion  board with a section where compositions may be posted.  See www.music-scores.com\discus
It's GREAT to be a classical musician!
