In the first movement of Haydn sonata hob 16 no. 49, in E-flat major is a cadenza with the directions "a piacere".  The fingering for the cadenza can be enjoyable to do, and make it well-nigh surrealistically fast.  Use finger 3 on the F above high C, then again on the E-flat, then again on the D, but almost instantaneously, do the C, B-flat, A-flat, G and F with your left hand, fingered 1,2,3,4,5. Almost instantaneously later, do A-flat,G,B-flat,A-flat,C with the right hand, fingered 2,1,3,2,5, then B-flat,A-flat,G,F,E with the left hand fingered 1,2,3,4,5, then G,F,A-flat,G,B-flat with the right hand fingered 2,1,3,2,5 again, then A-flat,G,F,E-flat,D with the left hand fingered 1,2,3,4,5, then G,F,E-flat,D,C with right hand fingered 5,4,3,2,1, then B,B-flat,A,A-flat,G with left hand fingered 1,2,3,4,5, then G-flat,F,E,E-flat,D with right hand fingered 5,4,3,2,1, then D-flat,C,B,B-flat with left hand fingered 1,2,3,4.  The whole thing can be made to go almost as fast as a glissando.  Of course, whether the sound of it will meet the approval of the critics is another matter.  But it is great fun to do.
