Need recommendation

Hey there.

I'm a self-taught pianist, and I need you to recommend me some pieces to play.
Lately, I've played a few Czerny etudes (from The School of Velocity), Bach's inventions (1, 4, , few Haydn sonatas (HobXVI:1 I think). I'm planning to attend a few private classes, as soon as I have enough free time for that, but until then I need pieces to play.

I'd like some good etudes, some Bach (simply love to play his pieces), and sth from the romanticism. Oh, yes, and I've never played anything modern, so some piece by Debussy would be nice.

If you like Etudes, Chopin has some nice little numbers you might want to have a go at..

In which case I would highly recommend a Chopin Nocturne or a Beethoven Sonata. Learning a few of those was a big turning point for me when I first started playing. Both are quintessential romantic composers and always good to have in your repertoire.

A nice gentle and beautiful piece is Erik Satie's - Gymnopedie No.1, a more modern piece and is somewhat a precursor to more minimalistic styles.
