I feel that bigger is always better, whether it be parties, cheeseburgers, salaries, and especially, classical mp3 directories. I boast over 5.27 gb of pure classical goodness on my hard drive *tear of pride*. Can anyone step this?
Don't meant to crash your party dude, but:Piano Music : 125GBScores: 19GBPiano Video : 42GBPiano DVDs: I think last time I count was 38 of them. And around 200 Piano CDs.

I don't think file sizes really indicate how much music you have... I keep all of my music encoded at 512, so someone with twice as me but with a much lower bitrate may actually need less room.
Impressive... do you rip most of your music from CDs?Yes, that's true. But a size is typically a general indication of how much music you have (the average mp3 bitrate is 128, so the deviation from 128 wouldnt be too much, except in your case).
Woah. Any Piano DVDs you reccomend? I've only seen the Art of Piano, but I want to see full fledged performances.

19 Gigs of scores??? where did you get that from?I have complete scores (*pdf.) of all piano music from well-known composers and a lot of rare stuff and rare composers... (all classical and some jazz) but i have a little over 2 gigs... 1732 files Not really counting, i have 6.000 other files from very rare composers in other formats and over 1000 pop scores. Do you have a list with the stuff that you have?Thank you.The Bitus.
Allchopin... do you have a list with your pdf's by any chance? Thanks.
I think Steinway is your man... I never mentioned pdf's. However, I do have a moderate directory of sheet music as well (about 640 files; have the complete chopin works).
Actualy you can... there are two ways: get a program that will list everything for you, with details, and a lot of cool features (search, list, arrange, etc). or... the easy way... go to cmd (command prompt) and get a list from there... i think the command was *dir or something like that... in the specified directory. After that, just copy and paste the result (i was about to do that, when i forgot about it... i'm going to try and let you know the commands. The Bitus.
Do you know if there is a way to produce a list of the files in my folders?
Do you just want a count of how many files you have in a certain folder? Or details on each file? Explain 'produce a list of files'..
Just the name of the folder will work, I have a folder for every CD.
You're not being very clear... I still don't understand. Maybe this will clear it up: right click on your whole classical directory (or highlight all classical music CD folders- whichever method you use) and go to properties. Under the dialog will be complete size and # of files.
ok... i just modified this post again...Here's the easiest way:go to cmd (command prompt) and after you go to the directory where your pdf's are in (for example, mine are in c:\Downloads\Piano Music PDF so i typed in: cd c:\downloads\... etc), type this:dir /s /b /a:-d /o:N /W >listpdf.txtThis commmand will create a file (*.txt) in the same directory where your pdf's are, listing all the files contained in that directory... Hope this is clear... The Bitus
dir /s /b /a:-d /o:N /W >listpdf.txt
