Casio Privia 120 Music Library Player?
on: May 28, 2011, 05:56:34 PM
I'm sure it's a recording of a real artist, but my wife thinks it is a computer.  Does anyone know for sure?

Thx!

I haven't heard it. If it sounds natural and like a pretty good pianist played it, then that is probably the case.  Granted it will still be MIDI rendering by the CASIO's sound engine, so in a sense it is being created by a computer also.  But some things are much easier to capture by having someone play the darn thing rather than trying to edit note for note a MIDI file using a computer mouse: dynamic phrasing, rubato, proper voicing of multiple lines, etc.
