Good editions for Prokofiev Toccata?
on: July 03, 2011, 05:50:27 PM
I'm starting to learn the Prokofiev Toccata, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good editions. The website that I normally use to purchase music is hutchins and rea, and the editions they have for sale are Masters, International, Alfred, and Forberg. The last one is the only one I have not heard of. Does any know anything about forberg editions, and is it reliable? Also, does anyone know where to find the Kalmus edition of the Toccata, because that's what one of my piano teachers uses. Unfortunately, I can't find it. Please Help!

I'll be surprised if there's any difference between them, actually. Masters, International and Alfred tend to do facsimile reprints of out-of-copyright editions, and the Forberg is probably the same.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.
