Just two other examples of the Année de Pelerinage Project I am working on right now. Any musical suggestions to improve my understanding of this music are welcome.

Here are teasers for the Années de Pelerinage. It would be more than two and a half hours of music to upload here so i decided to give you short teasers for a first impression. You can hear my complete recording of the Années de Pelerinage on my site linked n the signature.
None of the pieces are played in a traditional way. All you hear is pure midi-programming with pianosamples.

Last but not least a teaser for my "complete recording" of Liszts 4 Valses Oubliées...
Ingenius pieces of the late Liszt (~1882-83) only the first one is recorded often, meanwhile the others are no as bad to be neglected.

Recording #1: I would use a bit more pedal to make everything sound a but smoother.

Redcording #2: More pedal (although you use plenty sometimes) to make it sound more chaotic. Most of it sounds very clear, which a lot of times is a good thing. I just think "Orage" implicates that it is supposed to sound really chaotic - storm, thunder, rain all together during a terrifying dark night.
General info:
Started playing music in the summer of 2010
Plays on a Bechstein B
Lives in Denmark

Thank you pbryld for your suggestions. I know that it might seem a bit to "analytic" but I try to combine the warm lyrical mood of the piece and the little staccato accents above and under the real melody without let them melt with the real melody as you hear it so often. That is what kept me away from more pedaling au bord d'une source.
I consent with you in your understanding of Orage which must sound chaotic. Perhaps I will try to push it a bit more in this "chaotic" direction. But I love also the passionate and romantic melody in orage you hear still much more than in some late works of Liszt which sometime came pretty close to noisy compositions of the 20th century.
But I will think about if I find a way to accentuate the aspects you named a bit more.
