Hi All,I've just fallen very much in love with this piano concerto and i am acquiring as many good recordings as i can for this magnificent piece. Please let me know which are some of the most precious and important recordings that are out there ya?it will help me most definitely if you could share in depth your recommendation....Thanks!!!!
Richter = lamesomeone had to say that You like it, or you don't, not a pianist that would try to please...Still, Richter has the most powerful version! But for those that are looking for something else...the previous poster did make some good suggestions!
I would recommend Arthur Rubinstein with Erich Leinsdorf and Mikhail Pletnev with Vladimir Fedoseyev.
The live Rubinstein with Barbirolli I think is better.koji (STSD)
Oh then i must really try that.... I thot the Chopin Piano Concertos with Barbirolli was better than the later ones too...
