Anyone here willing to make midi files?
on: August 26, 2011, 06:13:19 AM
Hi there,

Is there anyone here who has sharp ears, and can transcribe music files (.wav, .mp3, etc.) into midi files? The thing is, I like jazz music, but not many midi files can be found on the Internet.

If anyone here has spare time and does this for a hobby, then maybe you could transcribe some recordings into .mid for me (or perhaps other members want their favorite recordings transcribed, too).

Thank you, please comment.

Thank you for your enthusiasm. Well, I'd really like these ([ Invalid YouTube link ]bobby+enriquez+cherokee&aq=f &
) recordings to be made to midi files, but they maybe quite hard to notate (quite a lot of notes), so I understand if you refuse. Anyway, please tell me if you can. Thanks again.  :)

I actually started to use my korg work station alot recently just for the midirecording opportunities.

It´s really great, you can get great weighted keys with a piano feel these days as well.  ;)

Agreed, they are tough. Well, thanks anyway for volunteering, and good luck with your endeavours.  ;)

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31.
