Modern piano movers
on: September 09, 2011, 03:03:00 PM
I just wanted to log on and tell everyone about a terrible experience I had with MODERN PIANO MOVERS.
Their website is: https://www.modernpiano.com/modernpiano/default.aspx
These people are unscrupulous predators. They were all professional on the phone when I set it up, but once they got my credit card number the lies began.
I was trying to surprise my wife with a grand piano for her birthday. I gave these guys 3 month’s notice and over 1500 dollars. They missed her birthday and lied about ever knowing about a deadline.
Be warned...they will sweet talk you and once they have your instrument all bets are off.
Don’t get taken like I did!!!

You'd been better off with furniture movers that are learned in pianos.
In my younger years I moved long distance for a mover who taught me how to move pianos and I never got a complaint. There's a few tricks to it...

P.S. Nice surprise!

You need to verify them before hiring. Feeling sorry for you. It is just bad luck for you but don't worry everything will be fine for you and your family. Wish you all the very best.

I've never had (I'm 60 years old!) a worse experience with any business! I wish I had done my homework. By the way the company name is Modern Piano Moving out of Sullivan Missouri. Good luck!
