Beethoven Op.111 final manuscript & 1st edition
on: September 10, 2011, 10:06:27 PM
I've long been curious about the appearance of Op. 111 in its final state pre- & in the 1st published edition, as well as who (if written records exist) first performed it in public and what the initial reviews were. I have similar interests with Op. 106 as well, having read some reports that it took a good while for anyone to manage to "do justice" to (primarily) the "Adagio sostenuto" movement.

I'd be much obliged if anyone could point me toward such information.

Many thanks,

Lontano
