Ravel Dead Princess

I've been looking at Ravel's Pavane for a Dead Princess. There are simultaneous loud pedal and staccato markings. How does that work out?
Appreciatively

Can you provide specific measure numbers? Also, check your edition, as I don't think ravel provided pedal instructions, but instead left them to the performer. Are you referring to the middle voice in the first measure? If so, the desired touch is portato, not staccato, and the key is making sure all three voices sound independently of one another, which is not easy.

Here's a mind-blowing idea. Just because you are holding the pedal, doesn't mean it is automatically legato.

Thanks for your responses. The measures I'm referring to are 13-15.
'bye, thanks again

I'll repeat, just because you are holding down the pedal, does not necessarily mean it will sound legato.
Think of a violinist bowing 4 notes in one bow, but playing the notes separate from each other.
