Yeah, one time I did laugh because my teacher did look and act like a bear, and sometimes I still do get a tickle.  ;D

Spent a wonderful week in Jamaica swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean and long walks on the white sandy beach. Here's a talented pair of beach singers singing Jamaican Farewell:

Who needs girlfriends or boyfriends!? I really hope I never have one!! And I'm not just saying that I really really really mean it!!!  :)  :P

There is such a thing as "sex" in the world primarily for that. Sexually-reproducing organisms will have a certain chemical alignment to each other and mate, produce offspring, and if they are sociable creatures they do this to structure and intensify clan/pack activity.

This is especially important in humans, a specimen notable for its high intelligence quotient. Humans are able to form massive societies so romance and mating is extremely relevant to form powerful families and societies.

If organisms of the opposite sex did not mate, then sex does not mean anything. I always wondered why gender existed at all, when other, less complicated species could reproduce of their own accord - mitotic division, for instance. The answer of course, is genetic diversity.

Organisms that mate with slightly different organisms are the reason for evolution. The genes of many a human race, for instance, have combined with the process of mating and thus have produced different cultures and ethnicity around the world.

Thus, it is only important to have strong romantic and sexual urges in order to not only continue the race of a specimen, but to help progress the complexity of Earth's creatures. How do you think there ever will be humans if different apes did not co-exist and mate with each other? There is a reason for this concept, not just to make life a fancy.

I hope this applies to a 13-year old female like you. Good luck.  :)

Happy Birthday!!  ;D

I'm gonna see Stephen Hough on the 10th

I'm insanely jealous!  Scriabin Sonata 5, Liszt Bm Sonata, Broken Branches (  :-\ )    Still, you'll have to sit through the Moonlight to get to it .

He's doing the Rach 3 in Seattle 14-17th. Got your license ready for a road trip? ;D

It's only two days until I will know if I have applied to a course for young pianists... One of the persons who arrange the course (he is professor in piano on the Royal College of Music in Stockholm) have said that I am going to apply, so I hope I will ^^

And my teacher gave me some scores (books) a few days ago... Among others; All Beethoven sonatas, all Mozart sonatas, all Haydn sonatas, Bach well tempered piano, Bach piano concerto d minor, Grieg piano concerto a minor, Beethoven pathetique sonata, Beethoven appasionata sonata, Béla Bartók mikrokosmos, two books with chopin (all mazurkas, nocturnes, walses, impromptus, scherzos, ballades and so on...) and a lot of other stuff! I am going to marry my staple of score books, I think  ;D

I am chosen to be on a master class course here in Sweden (for young pianists). I am overly happy and feel like running to all the people I know and tell them all about it ;D (And of course I have written about it on facebook and so, hehe).
One thing besides the nice piano-exterience I will get is- I am going to live on a hostel. That means I will be away from my home (and family) for like a week! That if so nice! (I do not have a good relation to my parents).
This is one of the happier days of my life. Especially because they e-mailed us 5 days too late, so I have been so nervous about when the mail would come.

.... :D (Happiness!)

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
