Spanish repertoire
on: October 16, 2011, 09:44:00 AM
I'm looking for a piece written by a Spanish composer, but I don't want one of the 'famous' onces such as Albeniz, Granados,...
Anyone knows other ones with interesting music? It may be modern.

If you want modern, try Xavier Montsalvatge (Catalan, like Mompou: not spanish), who wrote some wonderful stuff (a.o. a sonatina recorded by Larocha). Or Joaquin Nin-Culmell (Spanish), whose Tonadas are mostly quite beautiful (

, #683). Let me know if you like it!
