Whitch scales is used by Ray Charles?

Whitch scales is used by Ray Charles for his licks that he often play??  :)

Ray uses a lot of different scales and I don't think you can say he just plays one.  Have you checked out the blues scale yet though?  It may be a good place to start.  Here's the theory behind it 1 b3, 4, b5, 5, b7, 1.  So, in the key of C the notes would be C, Eb, F, Gb, G, Bb, C.

Mostly minor blues scales because he sang on the lower side of notes...

Never have been able to play jazz... too uptight I suppose.  But thank you for that blues scale -- fascinating.  It is, of course, one of the classic pentatonic scales.  I'm not at all sure, though, that it's really worth considering what "scale" would be used in blues; seems to me, listening to the great blues men that they tend to use what sounds good and what works... to their ear and on their instrument!
