origin of la campanella

ive been practicing la campanella recently and i knew that the melody was from the final movement of paganini's second violin concerto. but then yesterday i was listening to czerny's quartet for 4 pianos and i heard the melody(im not so sure) . does anyone know where the tune originated from? thanks

Probably originated from bells. The title means bells in italian, I think but I really don't know.

If it is in the Czerny, that is happy coincidence; he adopted the melody from the Paganini.
