Great review. Lang Lang played the same program when I went to see him earlier this year, so it was interesting to hear your take on it. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure what you mean by "followers". Lang Lang is not my favorite pianist and I don't ever listen to his recordings. So, not really a follower . . . just attended a concert and enjoyed myself. I am open to hearing differing interpretations of the classics, so I don't mind that Lang Lang takes liberties with the music to play the way he hears it in his head. I like the way in which vlhorowitz ends the article:
"(Lang Lang) impressed with his utter facility at the instrument - one that is, in fairness, altogether rare. His charged mechanism and ability to inspire large audiences in this day is something to behold at least once."

I respect Lang lang and every other pianist no matter hwo good or bad they are.
