Great review. Lang Lang played the same program when I went to see him earlier this year, so it was interesting to hear your take on it. Thanks for sharing. :)

Not sure what you mean by "followers". Lang Lang is not my favorite pianist and I don't ever listen to his recordings. So, not really a follower . . . just attended a concert and enjoyed myself. I am open to hearing differing interpretations of the classics, so I don't mind that Lang Lang takes liberties with the music to play the way he hears it in his head. I like the way in which vlhorowitz ends the article:

"(Lang Lang) impressed with his utter facility at the instrument - one that is, in fairness, altogether rare. His charged mechanism and ability to inspire large audiences in this day is something to behold at least once."
