For me, it's an extra hour this weekend to do work. I'm not complaining! :P

I don't notice this one anymore.  The spring one hurts a bit.

I wish we could stay on Standard time the whole year.

Actually I do notice it this year.  First time I remember it.  I'm off in the morning, off in the evening, off at bedtime.  I'd prefer to leave the clock the way it was instead of this time shift.

I love it... except Western Australia's full of idiots who complain about DST because their curtains will fade, or the cows will be confused or some idiotic complaint.

Some idiot said that if I liked Daylight savings time and wanted more light in my waking day, I should start waking up an hour earlier... which wouldn't be pathetic except for the fact that DST is supposed to help you get an extra hour of daylight in the EVENING, not an extra hour in the MORNING.

It's always pathetic when you have people complain about DST, yet their reasons are so shallow and dim-witted.

No that's not true... at least not here! Here it gets dark one hour earlier now! So that means it gets dark at about 5 to 5.30 pm!! Which is a little annoying! But oh well.... so that's why I don't really understand why it's called daylight saving time  :-\ I mean you just have to have light on at 5 pm already instead of at 6 pm! Don't really get it... But ok whatever.  :P

You only get an extra hour of daylight in the spring and summer (we do this mainly so that farmers can have more time to do their thing).  The time changed again because we're no longer in daylight savings.  I'm in North Carolina, USA and it's dark here by around 5:30-45.

For your interest, Russia has abolished daylight savings time this year.  What they've done is they didn't switch back from summer time to winter time.  So, Moscow is 3 hours ahead of Paris in the winter and 2 hours in the summer.

Interesting.  I saw someone receiving news that someone they knew committed suicide today.  I wonder if the time change pushed that person over the edge.

I like daylight saving. Its only drawback, a purely subjective observation, is that instead of using the extra light for the benefit of their physical and mental health, people are inclined to do more rushing about, pushing and shoving and generally making themselves tired and grumpy. This is especially so in the southern hemisphere as Christmas approaches.

It's daylight saving time, not "savings."  And actually, this is a return to standard time.

Oh I get it now so summer time (that's how we call it) is the daylight saving time! And this now is the "normal" time... OK.  :P
