I was listening to him on itunes playing Rachmaninov. Incredible.

I saw him last May in San Francisco--aside from Lazar Berman's debut in the US, it was one of the most jaw-dropping concerts I have ever attended! He opened with a Schubert Sonata (forgot which one), then came Beethoven's Appassionata, Liszt's Mehphisto Waltz, and Rachmaninov's 2nd Sonata. His 5th and final encore, Ginsberg's arrangement of Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" just about brought the house down! Don't miss him if he comes near you.
