I have a fun idea. It would be neat to be able to go [ psrecurl = http whatever ] name [/psrecurl]  (piano street recording url)  and have the little button show up in your post. This would allow creators of indexes of the audition room and improvisations room to create a list where someone could browse and just hit "play" on any one they fancied, immediately. In addition, it would allow us to create "playlists" of recordings that we like and share them with others.  Who knows, it may even lead to pianostreet publishing a CD of recordings by members.

That is not a bad idea but wouldn't the index room get abit messy? Perhaps the indexes are neat but maybe could be further improved before thinking about the mp3. Sharing the recordings is a good idea.
But then, if you say that your favourite recordings will be shared, wouldn't the badder qualities not be shared? I think that's abit unfair. But a good idea I'd like to see implemented.

Who knows, it may even lead to pianostreet publishing a CD of recordings by members.

Funny? How? How am I funny?

Maybe the idea could be modified to creating private playlists that are stored in your pianostreet profile, accessible via mobile phone or something like that. That would be neat.

If nothing happens, I'll probably write a program to go download every improvisation in the improvisation room so I can put it on random and surprise myself.

Interesting.  Like a hyperlink but just for recordings?  So they're all tagged and searchable?

I tried this but it doesn't sift by file type.
*.mp3 site:www.pianostreet.com

Google's advance search does limit by file type, but not by mp3. ::)
