Beethoven Sonata Marathon webcast (today!)
on: November 20, 2011, 06:03:52 PM
WQXR (NYC's classical station) is webcasting its 32-sonata marathon from 11am-11pm today. Is anyone else watching this? If not, it's here:

Anyone else who's been watching--what did you think of Evan Shinners's theatrics? The conservative part of me wanted to roll my eyes, but I thought he showed such genuine joy and passion for what he was playing (pretty sure it was Op 22) that I couldn't help but find it really endearing. Also--was that a tattoo on his left palm?
Side note: The mayor has declared today Beethoven Day in NYC, so, happy Beethoven Day, everyone
