Piano marked Mätzig & Schütz

Hi!

Next spring I might inherrit a piano marked Mätzig & Schütz, but I have great difficulty finding out any history regarding the people who made it. The brand is unknown to me, but I am quite a novise, and have only played piano for three years when I was 10  (now I`m 32...). Does anyone know anything about this piano?   The only thing I know is the named on it; Mätzig & Schütz, and that it is an up-right piano.

Here's something I found although provides almost no info on the piano brand. My guess is that the piano brand is a merger of two companies that were nearly bankrupt.

Thank you for your reply and the link. 

I think you are right; there must have been a merger or something like that, for I can`t seem to find any information with the name mentioned as it is shown on the piano. I will keep trying, but do not have a lot of hope of finding out more.
