Ludwig and Co upright piano
on: December 16, 2011, 11:34:59 PM
I bought a Ludwig and Co piano recently from a bar that went out of business.  I was hoping to find a way of identifying what years its from. On the inside there is a serial number 16729. I was hoping someone could help with is. I can't find anything on the internet for that particular number. Is there other ways of identification I haven't seen?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the piano was manufactured around 1900. I read on wikipedia that the company started production around 1895 and was manufacturing 3500 pianos by 1901.
