I read that Bruce Faulconer has a PhD in Composition, so I was wondering why his music for Dragon Ball Z is criticized so heavily by anyone with musical knowledge? Wouldn't a PhD in composition teach him to make a soundtrack that displays his knowledge of writing music?

i'm not sure what he composed, i rather always thought the original japanese score was pretty cool, i think kenji yamamoto was the guy on board for the original project.
