sources of free piano music on the web
on: September 16, 2004, 05:58:06 AM
Does anyone know of any GOOD pages of music in the public domain which can be downloaded for free off the web?  There used to be several but they have all become either pay sites or just lame.

I once found a page that had full scores of chamber music, orchestal pieces, concertos, etc., but I can't find that anymore either.  I think music in the public domian should be available for free!

Thanks,
Mike

i suggest www.sheetmusicarchive.net, the collection is complete enough, but download is limited or two pieces a day because of high bandwith through that site..

or..

www.metronimo.com/fr/partitions...

THANK YOU SO MUCH for that metronomio.com site!!  I've never heard of that one before.  I'm going to tell my teacher about it at my next lesson, so that she can pass it along to her college students!
