Favourite technical exercise/ study
on: February 21, 2012, 02:14:48 AM
WHat is your favourite study/ technical exercise? Something along the lines of Hanon, Brahms 51, Czerny, Dohnanyi, etc. Please, don't put any etudes.

I opened this thread to post an etude, and then I read the post. :(

In that case, my answer is none.

I couldn't agree more. I don't why I started this thread in the first place, probably because I was bored to death in school. But out of the selected boring exercises I guess Brahms 40a gets my vote.

I like some of the Hanon warmups but I always have to be careful not to play them to fast...  ::)
