When I was doing a master class once, all the Siedlehoffer students had their portable viennese collapsible silent keyboards. SOOOOOOO efficient.
If you're young and ambitious, I bet you could master Gieseking's method.
The eternal question. Gieseking could do it. But, of course, that doesn't mean we can. I certainly can't. I fall asleep after 10 minutes of it. Once when I was preparing for a competition and "had" go to capri for a few days, I found a piece of plywood, painted the keys on it (it took half a day when I could have been seriously practising), boarded the boat in naples, and it fell in the water. Some kid dived in and brought it back to me, to the tune of a big tip. Then I forgot it on the boat when I arrived at capri.
