on: February 23, 2012, 05:07:18 PM
Hi! I am now working on Debussy's Feux D'artifice and I have some trouble with the fingering in the left hand in bars 41-44. Have you got any tips for me? I'll be thankful to all of you!
Now learning:
Mozart sonata no.11 in A major; Fantasy no.3 in D.
Mussorgsky - Pictures from an exhibition.
Bartok - Dances in Bulgarian rhytm.

For the bar 41 keep the same fingering you used in 40 , for the lowest Ab use the right hand.
And 42-44  for the left hand
( F Eb Db C Bb Gb Eb    Ab Eb Gb Ab C Db Eb    F )
try 1231241 5132132 1...
or 1234123 5321432 1...
or 1234512 5215432 1...
use the most comfortable for you

The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more
